CALL OF THE SUMMER MOON

Haunter of the playground

Filling every child’s need

A shiny painted bicycle

Or candy soft and sweet

The call is stronger

Than any will of steel

The pain goes deeper

Than his heart will ever feel

Goodies in their ramekins

But eyes as cold as ice

Every line is perfect now

Each step is out of time

The call is stronger

Than tides that shape the change

The wearing rocks are symbols

Of his own decay

Take it nice and slow, you’ll see the difference

Between what is real and what is not

Like searching for the changes in the weather

The road is never clearer through the fog

Sometimes it can take you

Sometimes it surely will

In an unguarded moment

Just before the kill

The call of the summer moon will last forever

A curse upon mankind remains unknown

He hides behind the mask that leads to sorrow

The stakes are way too high to count the costs
